Cookie Policy

Effective October 5, 2026

ProBid uses browser cookies and similar storage to keep the service working. This page describes what is essential, what is optional, and how to change your choice. Your browser may also let you remove stored site data.

Essential storage

Sign-in information is kept in your browser’s local storage to maintain your account session. Temporary session storage may hold an unfinished proposal prompt while you move between pages. Payment checkout is handled by Stripe, which may set cookies needed for fraud prevention and payment processing. These functions do not depend on your optional tracking choice. If used, a sidebar-preference cookie remembers whether a sidebar is open for up to seven days.

Optional visit tracking

With your permission, ProBid records limited first-party events, such as a visit to the proposal-generator page and sign-up attribution, to understand use of the site. We do not use advertising cookies or external advertising pixels here. Optional visit events are not sent unless you choose “Allow optional.” Your choice is saved in local storage so you are not asked on every visit.

Document activity

Separately from optional site visit tracking, ProBid records when an estimate or invoice email is opened (using a small image in the email) and when a client visits a shared document link. The business sending the document can see this activity. Email apps can block or preload images, so an open record may not reliably indicate that a person read the message. This document activity is not controlled by the optional website visit choice.

Your choice

Optional visit tracking is off. You can change it any time below. Essential account and payment storage remains in use when needed.
